This is a large watercolour painting where I produced it at an art demonstration for the Blandford arts society.Its my imagination that has created this scene .

Today I climbed up Hambledon hill it’s a Neolithic fort .Its very steep and windy and in a hidden part of North dorset .The light shone just for a short moment and quickly captured the top ridge and the sun over the dorset gap beyond.

The dazzerling orange light over the Purbecks was so strong and made all the earthy tones on the hills glow.

My art journey led me to the Deverills .Its dark ridge rippled across the wiltshire landscape and beyond the blue light hung over Dorset.

Driving back past Pertwoods Organic farmland I had to pull over and watch the sun still shining over the Deverills of wiltshire.

The softest pink sky glazed over the Blackmore vale.

I came across this idea for a painting the other day while tring to find Marnhall village hall for my art demonstration .I took a slight detour the orange sun glowed so bright over the Blackmore vale.

Looking across the countryside of south Dorset I see pools of water that light up the landscape and turn it into mini wetland areas.

I just had to pull the car over and get out and take this picture of the light across the chalk plains.

The light over the cathedral lit up against the monochrome hills and a blast of baby ,pale blue cleansed the sky.
