Having a lovely walk sunday afternoon along the ancient ground of Pine walk in the saxon hilltop town of Shaftesbury.

The sound of the wind and the fast flowing water tumbling from meadows to the stream,created a powerful energy as we walked along the footpath to Stinsford.

The walk to Margaret marsh starts off from the hilltop saxon town of Shaftesbury down a steep hill , then you come out to flatter plains where the lanes get narrow and the marshes appear.

This is the darkest month as I wondered about along the Pine walk trail along from the abbey yesterday.

I see across the moving dark ,murky ,clouds and see the light on the highest hills of the chalk downs .Beyond that eventually is the sea.

My special place is Portland it sits on the jurassic coast of Dorset and it’s magnificent cliffs surround it.I went there yesterday and the light was perfect along the walk from “East cliff to “Baleclarver Bay “.
