I grew up here looking out of my bedroom window from the age of five and I still have this ancient ,majestic view of Wincombe woods to the east .Its the entrance to wiltshire but I’m seeing it from dorset .

I drew up the blind from my attic bedroom and what do I see but the most atmospheric sunrise across the sky over the misty ,alluring ,softness of the vale of Wincombe below.

Last evening watched,stood,admired and waited for the sun to drop down parallel to Duncliffe ancient hill covered in trees .The picture was taken from castle hill and where the castle once stood in Shaftesbury ,dorset.
