This is a very hidden ,rustic area of North Dorset .It has a wonderful soft,earthy ,charm to the landscape and warm ,pretty sunsets over the vale.

I came across this idea for a painting the other day while tring to find Marnhall village hall for my art demonstration .I took a slight detour the orange sun glowed so bright over the Blackmore vale.

The Blackmore vale is a moody place and when the sun comes through the darkness of the vale it is truly mesmerising .

On the 25th November a full moon lit up the sky in the Blackmore vale. The next full moon will be on “Christmas Day”.
