Moody grey, overcast sky over Corfe Castle today my art journey through the Purbecks to west knowle and in the distance i could hear guns firing over the ranges to Lulworth cove in Dorset.

My art journey led me to the Deverills .Its dark ridge rippled across the wiltshire landscape and beyond the blue light hung over Dorset.

The highest hills that form along the top from Swanage to lulworth cove is the Ridge.

Came across this wild area on a walk not far from where I live .Dried ,golden grasses and thistles with fluffy tops.A huge exspance of sky where slits of light appeared ,flashes of blue and silvery grey to white soft clouds.

The sky cleared yesterday and the golden corn was soaking up the warmth.
