We walked along Abbey walk today in Shaftesbury Saxon hilltop town of North Dorset.Looking over to the Blackmore vale and the Dorset gap is the furthest hill to the west where the sea is beyond.Three days before Christmas 🎄

Pausing to reflect and standing on the footbridge in the blueness of a winter sky.Late ‘afternoon sun’the mill stream flows below me into the water meadows which will be full of buttercups in the spring. By the cottage a flash of vivid blue-a kingfisher-a magic moment.
