What a treat today went to Stourhead gardens with my mum today.We had to wait all day for the rain clouds to clear.At 6pm the warmth of the sunlight came out and quickly changed to cool light.

In my my mums nature garden yesterday I studied and explored .A lovely habitat for any lucky creature ,bird or insect to rest in ,stay ,live and grow.

I walked across the open expanse of the heath within the Purbecks stopping occasionally to sketch and study the wild,natural landscape in dorset.

A summers afternoon it rained and rained.Then the rain dissappered and the blue sky appeared.The wild meadow flowers were happy.

When you see poppies within the landscape they are so dominant and I wanted to create a whoosh meaning movement soft image in the scene and an opening beyond.

This place was tucked away down an an old chalk track and at the end it came out onto a clearing and in the dip was poppies gently growing .

I had this dream and I felt I was walking by the edge of a #river or lake and I felt so calm ,tranquil and it was so real.

The cobbled hill is a rare site there is no where like it .The rustic charm of the old cottages ,Saxon wall shows how preserved the history is.Beyond is the dreamy Blackmore vale .
