Our art journey took us to the Arne and Coombe heath yesterday .The golden grasses shimmered on the purple heath and the view of the estuary ,Rempstone forest and the Purbeck hills beyond.

Is a hidden gem tucked away on the edge of Coombe heath it sparkles when the light hits the lake and it’s covered with yellow king cups ,blades of marsh grasses and bull rushes.

The other day we went there we walked up from the bottom of the castle through woods and a trickerling stream flowing down to the top of Corfe village.

Inspired by this area of natural beauty Studland is covered with Heather,grasses and sand dunes .I created this painting from walking along the heather trail .
